“HeForShe is a global movement of solidarity for gender equality, founded by UN Women. The summit discusses topical issues related to equality, but we don’t have time to talk. During of war, we must act sensibly. So I asked everyone in the room – there were representatives from all over the world – about what motivates our women,” she wrote.

At the same time, the President’s wife met with UN Women Executive Director Sima Bakhus, who has been actively supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the war.

During the conversation, Olena Zelenska called on UN Women to join in solving issues related to sexual violence by the Russian invaders.

“We must create conditions for our women to be safe, and then they will start speaking,” said the first lady of Ukraine.
