The star stopped communicating with colleagues who openly advocated Russia’s “special operation” in Ukraine.
The Ukrainian actress, who became famous for the role of Zhenya Kovaleva in the TV series Matchmakers Anna Koshmal, spoke about the atmosphere on the film set, where Russian actors also worked. The actress shared her revelations in an interview with host Alina Dorotyuk.
Koshmal admitted that in 2014, when the war in Donbass started, he was 19 years old and he was not interested in the situation in Ukraine.
“I was not politically conscious. In my circle, we didn’t talk about politics, we were teenagers. At the state level, Russian TV series were allowed to be broadcast and filmed in Ukraine, so there was no such understanding why it’s dangerous,” said the actress.
He also commented on the position of his Russian colleagues who supported the war.
“In fact, when I found out that Fedya Dobronravov supported the annexation of Crimea, to be honest, I didn’t want to believe it. I didn’t even watch the video where he said it, because I thought that if I looked, it would break me heart. You must understand that for me, Matchmakers are not Dobronravov, this is not Tatyana Kravchenko, not Dobrynin or Artemyeva. For me, this is Andrey Yakovlev (director of the series Matchmakers – Ed.) This is a person to whom I am have unlimited respect for, to work with – a great pleasure. He is like a father to me, “said Anna.
After February 24, when his colleagues openly supported the bloody war in Ukraine, the star stopped communicating with them.
“I can’t be responsible for their actions. Everyone acts according to their conscience. They have to live with it, not me. I have nothing to discuss with them,” Anna summed up.
Recall that the brother of the Ukrainian singer TAYANNA, the performer Misha Marvin, despite the widespread war in Ukraine, decided to return to Russia.
The star of Matchmakers said if he will act in Russian cinema
