The Ukrainian edition of Playboy released a cover about the war in Ukraine. All proceeds from the sale were used to purchase 20 ambulances.
The main office of the American men’s magazine Playboy has decided to close the Ukrainian edition from January 1, 2023. This was announced by the co-owner of the publication Alexander Shevchenko on his Facebook page.
“From January 1, 2023, Playboy Ukraine will cease to exist. The decision of the central office. No one explained the reason. Talking badly about partners is not in my rules. Playboy did not leave in the Russian Federation. He left Ukraine. All financial obligations on our part have been 100% fulfilled,” the message said.
At the same time, he added that Playboy Ukraine, after a full-scale invasion by Russia, brought humanitarian aid to our country.
“The world-famous “Playboy in Ukraine” sent 2-3 aid trucks a week from the UK, Spain, Portugal, containers from the USA. In total, this is thousands of tons of humanitarian aid . If someone had told me that Playboy would go to great lengths to bring diapers, baby food, feminine hygiene products to Ukraine – I wouldn’t have believed it!” added Oleksandr Shevchenko.
It was previously reported that the new issue of the Ukrainian version of the men’s magazine Playboy is devoted to the war unleashed by Russia.
