In the conversation, it was about greeting the star on Independence Day. Then he uttered the phrase: “Ukraine, I lose myself without you.” Now Freimut explained his words.

Ukrainian TV presenter Olga Freimut, who moved to London since the beginning of the war, admits that she is losing herself. He spoke about this in an interview with KP in Ukraine.

“I am sure that Ukrainians today have a common soul, and it hurts. We have pain, sadness, a sense of horror, injustice, hopelessness, and all this is aggravated by the fact that we did not experience similar emotions. We lived in a completely happy country, we ourselves did not realize. Personally, I am guilty of the fact that I often complain, said that it is better in Europe. And now only, when I lived in London, I understand that it is better in Ukraine. Yes, in London I feel that I am losing myself. I recently came to Ukraine, was at home for a few hours, and the feeling if who I am in other countries and who I am in Ukraine are two different realities. In other countries, I am one “with”, my life does not mean anything here yet. If I am gone tomorrow, they will just bury me quietly and not important whether I lived in the world or not. While in Ukraine my life, and “I” are important. In Ukraine, my DNA, in Ukraine, my essence,” said Freimut.

He added that he could do a lot for Ukraine, but Ukraine could do more for him.

“Our identity is in the Motherland. Milan Kunder once said: “Only unhappy people leave the Motherland.” My soul is in Ukraine. I dream of Ukraine, I often dream of my city New Section from my deep childhood. But I will not now and I will return while the bombs are flying, because I am a mother. And my maternal instincts are stronger than my selfish desire to return to Ukraine. Now I will protect children from grief in London,” concluded the presenter.

It will be remembered that the American actor, best known for the role of Hercules in the TV series The Amazing Journeys of Hercules, Kevin Sorbo, called for the end of financial aid to Ukraine. However, he did not explain his position.
