The film shows the terrible destruction of the central part of the city with architectural monuments of the 19th century.
“From the very beginning of the massive offensive on February 24, Kharkiv became one of the targets of the Russian army. It did not spare the historical buildings or the lives of civilians. The Russian army destroyed the city every day. administrative building, historic buildings, churches, and university libraries were destroyed. Dozens of people were injured or killed. The historic center and shell craters in Freedom Square became a terrible reminder of what the cost of freedom in the 21st century. However, you can destroy the squares, but not freedom,” said Bonneville in the film.
It should be noted that within the framework of the project, seven more videos will be shown, in which seven artists from Ukraine and other European countries will tell the stories of destroyed historical and cultural buildings.
Recall that Russian actors Chulpan Khamatova and Anatoly Bely supported Ukraine in a performance in the capital of Latvia, Riga. They shouted the slogan “Glory to Ukraine!”
