The studio accepts not only private orders, but also collaborates with stores and brands such as Kapital, Matches Fashion and Selfridges.
Jelske Peterson and Jara Stoop from Amsterdam created a brand called Peterson Stoop. It positions itself as a genderless brand and ethical design studio that offers a fun and humorous approach to making and repairing shoes. So, recently they released mules created from worn out sneakers. The footage was posted on Instagram.
A series called PS Synergy Color Pop Mule consists of 500 old pairs, the pattern of which is not repeated.
“We dismantled more than 500 used pairs of shoes with bright colors. Mostly Nike Air Force and Adidas Stan Smith. From these small pieces we create a material we call new leather. From new leather this is where we cut our PS Synergy Mule patterns Each pair is unique one of a kind Shows the first maker’s hands on the open seams Usually made in Vietnam, India or China The next interesting layer is brought to the shoe by the previous owner, wear is a sign of energy and movement put into the material By removing the shoe we capture this energy in the material The synergy between Nike and Adidas makes the this shoe at once,” said the designers.
