The Hollywood actor, who came to Ukraine for the second time, met with Volodymyr Zelensky and visited the bombed Borodianka.
American actor, UNITED24 charity platform ambassador Liev Schreiber, who arrived in Kyiv, also visited the destroyed Borodianka, where he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He announced it on Instagram.
There he saw with his own eyes the consequences of the actions of the Russian army, and how the people who remained in the city lived. The celebrity also published a photo of Andriy Shevchenko with the boys where he decided to play football in a place where until recently enemy shells flew.
“Thanks to Andriy Shevchenko for a huge heart and inspiring words. I saw how Andrey was talking to a group of children on a football field across the street from the site of the explosion in Borodyanka. He led kindness and compassion for the literal shadow of cruelty and ignorance,” the actor wrote.
At the same time, Liev Schreiber thanked the head of state for the warm welcome.
“Thank you, Mr. President, for the warm welcome and the opportunity to understand how important our continued involvement and support is for the people of Ukraine,” the movie star added.
It is known that the star of the movie X-Men: Wolverine came to Ukraine to launch a youth program, the first participants of which were the children of Shevchenko and Schreiber.
