The US National Security Department of the United States has been linked to the company after recorded incidents.
Tesla is again on the spotlight due to problems with her full-self drive (FSD) Autopilot system. According to NBC News, the software may not respond properly to the crossing of the railroad.
The journalists even recorded the moment when the model Y approached an active move and did not stop until the driver was in control. At that moment, the barrier began to fall, which could partially explain why the system did not respond.
However, such cases are not united. Tesla drivers reported difficulties in forums, on social networks and even video, where cars stopped in time for metals. In June, an incident occurred when Tesla went to the railroad during the turn and fell under the train.
The US National Directorate of Traffic Safety said they knew about the cases and had already spoken to the manufacturer. The department added that it continues to study user complaints to determine if it is a security system.
Experts believe that the program cannot be taught enough to identify different types of motions in the United States. It is surprising that the system is sometimes ignored even with glittering signal lights. In one of the cases, FSD chose a green traffic light at a reach of a priority signal and continued to move, though the barrier was falling.
Tesla and Ilon Musk have not commented on the situation. At the same time, the billionaire is mentioned on social networks that FSD is already available in Australia and New Zealand. Cars are advised to be attentive especially in railroads.
We remind, earlier, Tesla reported that most of the details about Robotaxi accidents were hidden.
