China’s Ministry of Industry and informatization has published an image of the Toyota Corolla Sedan -updated image. According to Motor1, this is a traditional procedure for the Chinese department, registering new models before their sales begin.
The current generation of Corolla has been in the market for six years, and although it has received light updates in the separate market, a noticeable jump generation is not planned. Therefore, Toyota prepares the next facelifting based on the current platform, at least China.
The biggest change affects the front. The optics are now made up of two blocks: the top has a Circuit-shaped circuit with a continuous LED-line, and near and high beams are brought to the lower part of the bumper and emphasized with black inserts. In addition, a wider dark railing and an expanded front spoiler appeared.
On the side of the sedan received new wheel discs, and on the back – lanterns with updated graphics, now combined with a light jumper. The bumper remained unchanged. Miit’s interior traditionally does not disclose, so it is not yet known whether the model will save the current front panel or move into a new style with a large multimedia screen, such as RAV4.
Two options will remain under the hood for the Chinese market: a hybrid installation based on a 1.8-liter machine with a capacity of 98 hp. Includes battery NCM and a 2.0-liter motor for 171 hp
