Jacklin was born in 1947 in New Mexico. She became a mother at 17, still studying at school. To finish the education, he attended the night classes, leaving Little Jeff in the care of his parents.
In 1968, he married Cuban emigrant Miguel “Mike” Bezos, who adopted Jeff. The couple lived for more than 50 years and raised three children.
