For the first time in seven years, British band Portishead will come together in a charity concert in support of Ukraine, scheduled for May 2 in Bristol, UK. Ritchfork reports.
The poster for the concert was drawn by frontman and founder of British band Massive Attack Robert Del Naja.
Proceeds from the sale of 1,200 tickets will go to War Child. This organization provides assistance to victims of the Russian war in Ukraine.
It was learned that tickets for the charity concert will be raffleed in pairs. But at the same time, each lottery participant will have access to a live broadcast.
“By donating £ 10, or approximately $ 13, you will create three entries. Log in here before 7pm ET on Sunday, April 24th,” it said.
Also participating in the six -hour concert were IDLES, Billy Nomates, Katy J Pearson, Heavy Lungs and Wilderman.
“We are very pleased to be able to support the people of Ukraine by performing some songs at this event in collaboration with the wonderful charity organization War Child,” said the participants in the show.
Recall that Metallica is raising money to support Ukrainians affected by the Russian war. The team has already allocated half a million dollars to refugees. The goal is to raise a million dollars.
