The actor has accused investigators and prosecutors of pressure and violations of rights, but the New Mexico court refused to consider his lawsuit due to Baldwin’s side.
The New Mexico court rejected the lawsuit of American actor Alec Baldwin, who accused investigators and prosecutors of the authority and violation of his civil rights in the case of Ukrainian operator Galina Gatchins in the Rust (“Rust” film) in 2021.
The judge closed the case without consideration of the merits due to the lack of any action procedures by Baldwin or his lawyers. Now the actor’s party has 30 days to file a request for continuation of labor.
In his lawsuit, Baldwin claimed special prosecutor Kary Morrissi, district prosecutor Mary Karmak-Outtvis, three investigators and the Commissars council of the Santa FA district acted against him from personal or political motifs. According to him, they conducted a defamation and violated the procedure of investigation.
At the same time, the actor’s lawyers noted that the court’s decision was not final, as the parties were in negotiations to resolve the conflict. If the compromise is not reached, the lawsuit may be submitted again.
Remember, on October 21, 2021, in the row of Rust in New Mexico, Baldwin accidentally shot operator Galina Gatchins and injured director Joel Souzu. As it turned out, the weapon in which the actor was shot will be charged with a battle cartridge, even if it should be idle. The factors for the appearance of battle cartridges on the set are still unknown.
Earlier it was reported that the first trailer for the American Western Rust (Rust) was released, released on May 2, 2025.
The weapons of the film Rusta, convicted of the death of Ukrainian, preceded the schedule
