The new car was inspired by the 1990 Golf Fire and Ice Model. According to the release year, copies of 1990 will be released.

One year after the main concept, Volkswagen officially began serial production and sale a limited electric hatchback ID.3 GTX Fire+Ice series. The model was created in collaboration with the Bogner Fire+Ice Sportswear Brand and inspired the legendary version of the 1990 Golf II Fire and Ice. Only copies of 1990 will enter the market – exactly many years have passed since the appearance of the original.

Outside, freshness is distinguished by the purple color of ultra violet metal, which refers to the style of golf fire and ice. It was complemented by red accents of flaming red on the roof line, the matte pattern of fire+ice on the back of the rack, the logo of fire and ice in the spoiler, the 20-inches locarno’s discs with GTX red caps and the dark rear light. When opening the doors to the ground, the symbols of fire and ice are expected.

The interior is built on a different color theme: the driver’s part is decorated with a red shade, and the passenger is in blue. The chairs are stylish under the down -down jackets of the bogner brand – with a stitching lightning form and the fire+ice logo in the middle. Elements of decoration with symbols of ownership are also present on the steering wheel, rag, doors and instrument panels.

The standard equipment includes a sports suspension, and for a version with a capacity of 240 kW, the adaptive shock absorbers of the DCC system are additional provided. Sports tires are available for an additional fee.

Interior Plus equipment includes sports chairs with electric and massage, a projection display with enlarged reality and the Harman Kardon audio system. The comfort package offers a two-zone climate control and navigation, and the help package adds a parking assistant, a rear camera view, not accessing access and adaptive cruise control.

The model is offered in two versions of the power plant: with a capacity of 286 hp. or 326 hp, both a torque of 545 nm. A stronger change accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h to 5.7 seconds, and the maximum speed is limited to 200 km/h. The power provides a battery with a capacity of 79 kW ∙ h, which supports fast charging with a capacity of up to 185 kW. The charge of 10 to 80% can be refined in 26 minutes. According to the WLTP cycle, the range is up to 591 km.

The original Golf Fire and Ice, created in collaboration with Designer and director Willy Bogner, was a stylish sensation in the early 90s. Although planned to release only 10 thousand copies, as a result, more than 16700 were sold – and now this version is considered a cult among GTI fans.

In Germany, the starting price of the new item is € 56020.

We will remind, earlier that Volkswagen has shown Polo Edition 50 in honor of the model’s 50th anniversary.
