A participant in the legendary ABBA group admitted that he was using artificial intelligence to overcome creative crises – though he called the AI ”waste” texts.
One of the founders of the Swedish group Abba, Bjorn Ulveus, said he was working with a new musical using tools with artificial intelligence. The Guardian reported it.
The musician said this during a speech at the SXSW Festival, which yearly combined music, movie theaters, art and technology.
Ulveus admitted that about a third of the musical was written along with AI participation. At the same time, he emphasized that he did not fully rely on machine texts, because they were often not perfect or divine. However, in moments of creative disadvantage, such tools can be useful.
“You can indicate the text you wrote about something, and maybe stuck, and wants this song to be in a specific style. You can ask: How can you continue it? Where are you going from it? Usually there is a waste, but sometimes something gives you a different idea,” Ulveus commented.
In his opinion, artificial intelligence is not an enemy of musicians, but rather an instrument in helping. Despite this, the use of AI in music continues to cause hot misunderstandings in the industry – especially in the field of copyright and ethics.
Earlier it was reported that Bjorn Ulveus, a member of the legendary ABBA Group, said goodbye to a bachelor life.
