The car was conceived as restarting the legendary Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2. According to the manufacturer, the car belongs to the new car class- “mini-supercara”.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Renault 5 model, the French manufacturer will release a limited Electric Renault 5 Turbo 3e series. He reported this to the corresponding press release available on the official Renault website.
The electric car is 4080 mm long, 2030 mm wide and 1380 mm high with a wheelbase of 2570 mm. The machine design was inspired by the old Renault 5 Turbo and Turbo 2, but the manufacturer confirmed that it was more than simply restoring the cult model: the car belonged to the new “mini-supercara” class. In conjunction with the wonderful technical properties, the length ratio in width is 2.01, putting it in a league with a supercar, but in a compact format of a hot hatchback.
The R5 Turbo 3e received two electric motors on the back of the wheels, which together give a power of 540 hp, giving you to speed 100 km per hour in just 3.5 seconds, and a torque of 4800 nm. The maximum expressed car speed is 270 km/h.
The machines are powered by a 70 kW battery with a capacity of 70 kW, which provides up to 400 km of stroke in the WLTP cycle. Complete battery charge from the AC network takes about eight hours using an on -board charger with a capacity of 11 kW. There is also a quick charge with a constant current with a capacity of up to 350 kW thanks to 800-volt architecture. Rapidly charging the battery from 15 to 80% will only take 15 minutes.
The limited Renault 5 Turbo 3e series will be the 1980 unit, each of which will be counted. The reservation will open after a few weeks, and in car dealerships will appear within 2027.
We remind you, earlier reported that the car of 2025 was called to the European market.
