The countdown to the 2025 Grammys has begun! The awards ceremony will take place on February 2nd and, this Friday, the 24th, the Recording Academy announced the first acts that will perform live at the event. Among the confirmed names are Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Sabrina CarpenterShakira and many others.
The Grammy Awards, one of the most anticipated awards shows of the year, will feature renowned global artists among the nominees, such as Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter, which totaled six nominations in this edition. Besides her, Charli XCXwith his album BRAT, will also be part of the show, as well as Shakira and Billie Eilishwhich compete in several categories.
Other artists confirmed to perform are Benson Boone, Chappell Roan, Doechii, RAYE and Teddy Swims. Beyonce is the big winner of this edition’s nominations, with 11 nominations, including in categories such as Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
Brazilian participation
The Grammy also celebrates the presence of the Brazilian Anita, who received her second nomination, this time for her album Funk Generation, competing for Best Latin Pop Album. Other representatives from Brazil are Hamilton de Holanda and Eliane Elias, in the Best Latin Jazz Album category.
In addition to the awards, this year’s event will promote a fundraising campaign to support wildlife and music professionals affected by the fires in Los Angeles. The 67th edition of the Grammy Awards will be broadcast live on TNT, starting at 10pm (Brasília time).
