The director has released a video from the filming of the movie Leave It If You Love It in response to accusations of sexual harassment against actress Blake Lively.
The Hollywood scandal between actor and director Justin Baldoni and movie star Blake Lively is gaining momentum.
According to TMZ, Baldoni released a series of videos from the set of the movie. Leave it if you love itthat he must refute allegations of sexual harassment against his colleague.
The actress had earlier filed a case accusing the director of inappropriate action. She said Baldoni “improvised physical intimacy” without her consent, asked personal questions, and talked about her experiences with “former porn addiction” and “non-consensual sex.” An example of inappropriate behavior, according to Lively, is a scene where Baldoni leans down and touches his lips to her neck, commenting: “He smells so good.”
Baldoni’s team presented three slow-motion shots of the scene, which they say disproved Lively’s claims. The video shows the actors discussing the nuances of portraying the intimacy of the scene. In one of the takes, the director tries to kiss Lively, and he suggests changing the approach, emphasizing that dancing and talking will be more romantic.
However, Lively’s representatives say the released footage only proves her right. They note that none of the intimate scenes were discussed or choreographed in advance, and that all the acts were “non-consensual improvisations by Baldoni.” It was also noted that there was no coordinator of intimate scenes on the set, which is a violation of modern film industry standards.
