Eight women have accused renowned British writer Neil Gaiman of sexual assault, including non-consensual bondage and humiliation.
British science fiction writer Neil Gaiman has been accused of sexual assault by eight women. This was stated in an investigation by New York Magazine.
Women said that cases of forced sex with elements of BDSM happened during the time when the writer lived in the USA, Great Britain and New Zealand. It is known that the youngest victim at the time of the events was 18 years old.
Two women worked as nannies for Gaiman’s family, the other five were his fans. One of the women claimed that she was sexually assaulted on her first day of work, when the author forced her to shower in the garden and then raped her.
Women reported that sexual relations were rough and embarrassing, and they did not always consent. The article notes that some of them played a little with the wishes of the writer, calling him a master.
Representatives for Neil Gaiman have categorically denied the allegations. Their statement noted that all actions took place with prior consent. They also added:
“Sexual humiliation, bondage, dominance, sadism and masochism may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but between consenting adults, BDSM is legal.”
It was previously reported that singer Slimane, who will represent France at Eurovision 2024 with the song Mon amour, has been accused of sexual harassment.
David Copperfield was accused of harassing 16 women
