Nicki Minaj’s former tour manager has accused the rapper of physically assaulting her backstage at a concert and is demanding compensation.
American rapper Nicki Minaj has found herself at the center of a scandal after her former tour manager Brandon Garrett filed a lawsuit accusing the artist of physical abuse, the Daily Mail reports.
According to Garrett, the incident occurred on April 21, 2024, backstage at a concert in Detroit. During the confrontation, Nicki Minaj allegedly struck her in the face and right wrist, causing both physical injury and emotional distress.
Representatives for Nicki Minaj have categorically denied the allegations. The rapper’s lawyer, Judd Burstein, called the lawsuit baseless and said: “This is just an attempt to damage Nicki’s reputation and get financial gain.”
The trial has just started and its results are still unknown. Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj remains focused on work: the artist continues to work on new projects and prepare for upcoming performances.
It was previously reported that the former assistant of Sean Combs, better known as P. Diddy, Phillip Pines, has filed a lawsuit, making serious accusations against the artist.
