Singer Olivia Rodrigo showed her commitment to social causes by announcing the donation of more than US$2 million — approximately R$12.2 million, according to the current exchange rate — to charities aimed at girls and women. According to People magazine, the initiative is part of the GUTS world tour, from which part of the net revenue from ticket sales will go towards promoting female health and equality.
According to an official statement released by the artist’s representatives this Tuesday, the 17th, the distribution of resources will be carried out through Fund4Good. The organization was created to build a fair and equal future for women and girls in different parts of the world.
The amount will benefit 10 international organizations, including National Network of Abortion Funds (United States), Women’s Shelters Canada, Women Against Violence Europe, The Pratthanadee Foundation (Thailand), Korea Foundation For Women, Harmony House Limited (Hong Kong), NPO Women’s Saya -Saya (Japan), Aidha (Singapore), Jhpiego (Philippines) and Wesnet (Australia).

To Oliviawho is of Filipino descent, one of the most memorable experiences of the tour was the final stop in the Philippines.
“This is a very special milestone for me, not only for visiting the Philippines for the first time, but also for performing here for my fans. I’m very proud of my Filipino heritage, so being able to bring that experience to the Philippines means a lot to me,” Rodrigo told Billboard about the performance.
