Originally titled ‘Wicked: Part 2’, the highly anticipated sequel adaptation of the popular Broadway musical has had its name changed to ‘Wicked: For Good’. The new title makes direct reference to the iconic duet sung by Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande), in which the duo expresses how their relationship of friendship and rivalry impacted their lives forever.

The premiere of the second film is scheduled for November 21, 2025, increasing the expectations of fans of the musical that conquered stages and, more recently, cinema screens.

The first feature film in the franchise was a resounding success at the box office, surpassing the US$520 million mark globally.
