The first teaser for the long-awaited 3rd season of “The White Lotus” has finally been released by the streaming platform Max.
The preview presents the Thai location and the new characters from the next chapters, with emphasis on the singer’s debut Lisafrom BLACKPINK, as an actress. Hers is the first face revealed in the video, welcoming guests as a hotel employee.
Acclaimed for social criticism and acid humor, “The White Lotus” premiered in 2021 with a season set in Hawaii, while season 2 took the plot to Sicily. Each new phase brings different scenarios and characters, exploring complex themes and keeping the audience attentive to each twist.
The 3rd season takes place in another resort from the fictional White Lotus chain, this time located in Thailand. Among the new characters are a patriarch, a corporate executive, an actress, a mother associated with a country club, a young misfit and a yoga practitioner, in addition to bringing back Natasha Rothwellreprising her role as Belinda Lindsey, a masseuse and hotel employee from Season 1. According to the creator Mike Whitethe plot will be a “satirical and funny look at death, eastern religion and spirituality”.
