On December 2, Ukrainian musician, DJ and serviceman Yuriy Melofon died in a combat mission at the front. He is 39 years old. The sad news was announced by singer Lavika (Lyubov Yunosha) on Instagram.
According to him, the artist is not only a talented musician, but a person with a big heart. At the beginning of the general invasion, he became a volunteer and then joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Yuri is survived by his wife and four-year-old son.
Lavika, who worked with him since 2012, recalled the joint creativity and support he provided even during his service:
“Yura did a lot of good, and even at the front, he was always the first to write, asking how he was and how he was doing, and when my brother died, he distracted his entire battalion to go to Diya and announce my petition . to collect the votes. He asked not to give up on this matter, because “my brother fought, and you also fought.”
Yuriy Melofon will be remembered as a talented musician, a loyal friend and a true patriot who gave his life for the freedom of Ukraine.
