The event, famous for celebrating the artist’s birthday, will only take place next year, but the public will still participate
The popular annual event known as “Farofa da Gkay”, traditionally held in celebration of the comedian’s birthdayGkay, will no longer occur in December this year. The event organizers announced this Thursday morning, September 21st, that the party scheduled between December 3rd and 5th will be postponed and will undergo changes of location.
Historically, Farofa da Gkay has been a private event, financed entirely by the host herself. However, the 2024 edition would mark a new phase with ticket sales to the public, offering access to the festivities.
However, logistical and bureaucratic challenges prevented it from being carried out within the scheduled period. According to an official statement, the event’s production team decided that it would not be prudent to maintain the original date due to the proximity to the festival and the impossibility of guaranteeing an exceptional experience.
And the buyers?
Those who have already purchased tickets have the option of using them on the new dates, which will be announced soon, or can request a refund through the service channel indicated at the time of purchase.
In a video shared on social media, Gkay expressed his commitment to raising the standard of the event: “We are working on everything for this Farofa to grow, take on new directions. I’ll announce it to you now, I’ll bring you the new date and the new venue. where this Farofa will be. What I can tell you is to wait. Sometimes we need to wait a little to get something better.”
