The Ukrainian singer spoke about unexpected changes, because of which her Eurovision number in Sweden had to be redone immediately.
Ukrainian singer Zlata Ognevich shared how the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest team in Malmö refused to approve her stage number at the last moment.
At the competition, the star performed the song Gravity and took an honorable third place, but the result pleased him more than the performance itself. According to the artist, the organizers approved the initial plan, but refused to implement it on the spot, leaving the team without graphics and special effects.
“I’m happy with my place, I’m happy with the result, but then we were blocked on the spot by the numbers that we were preparing, the graphics – everything we were told that this is impossible, although they gave guarantees that yes, get ready, everything is approved. We were going to Malmo, and they told us that nothing would happen,” Ognevich recalled.
His team, finding themselves in a stressful situation, organized a new performance on short notice, rented a hall for two weeks and raised additional funds for rehearsals. The experience was too heavy for the singer, so she no longer plans to participate in Eurovision.
It was previously reported that the Public announced that the final of the National selection for Eurovision 2025 will take place on February 8.
