Maya recently underwent another surgical intervention and has now commented online on the reason that led her to do so; understand!
Digital influencer Maya Massafera recently underwent a new surgical intervention, sharing her experience on social media. In an Instagram post, Maya revealed that she opted for reverse abdominoplasty, a procedure designed to remove excess skin from the upper part of the abdomen.
The decision, according to her, arose from the aesthetic discomfort she felt in the abdominal region, making it difficult to wear certain clothing such as crop tops and lingerie.
During the posted video, Maya detailed her day of surgery, explaining that the procedure involved removing skin through the scar resulting from a previous silicone implant surgery. She expressed that the operation was necessary for her to feel more comfortable with her body.
Additionally, in a candid outburst about her gender transition,Maya commented on the challenges faced and the choices he made throughout the process. The influencer revealed that she underwent approximately 20 surgical procedures in a period of five months, after starting her hormone therapy.
Change routine
Maya shared details about her hormone routine on social media, mentioning the daily use of male blockers and various female hormones throughout the day. She highlighted the difficulties of making this transition in Brazil and reported the impact of starting this journey at age 42.
Despite the adversities, she recognized the financial privilege of paying for her surgeries and reflected on the maturity acquired with age: “They say that life begins at 40, and for me that was literal”, she stated.
