The Ukrainian chef spoke about his postponement from the mobilization, and also shared his thoughts about his readiness to serve.
The famous Ukrainian culinary specialist Vladimir Yaroslavsky said why he now has a reprieve from mobilization.
The chef explained that since 2022 he is attending graduate school in international relations and researching the subject of gastronomic diplomacy. Thanks to his studies, he received a temporary release from service.
According to the culinary specialist, although he has no combat experience, his military specialty is being a cook. So, in case of conscription, Yaroslavsky would provide food preparation for the military. At the same time, he is convinced that his experience can be more useful in the background, where he works to popularize Ukrainian culture. The chef also emphasized that he is not afraid of mobilization: if he is called to serve, he is ready.
“This is a war of attrition. If it doesn’t end immediately, we will all be there, if the aid from Europe and the US is not increased, we will all be there. When my time comes, let’s go. But for now, more what needs to be done here, and that should be as effective as possible,” sums up Yaroslavsky.
It was previously reported that actor Vlad Nikityuk, known from the TV series Two Sisters, explained why he did not volunteer for the front.
