Alexander Yarmak tells how the fate of the Russian prisoner who became his supporter, and why he does not feel sorry for him.
Ukrainian rapper and soldier Alexander Yarmak shares the story of a Russian soldier who was captured in August 2024 and became a fan of his music. In an interview for Suspilne Novyny the artist spoke about their conversation and the fate of the prisoner.
Vladimir, a 23-year-old contract soldier from Russia, admitted that he signed the contract for service while drunk and asked the Ukrainians not to return it.
According to Yarmak, the prisoner of war is now in a Ukrainian colony, where he is treated in accordance with international standards: “He is in a colony, he has normal conditions, he is not insulted and in general prisoners of war are not insulted in Ukraine, because we are truly a European state that adheres to all conventions, guarantees all human rights of prisoners of war, unlike these creatures who simply just mocking our prisoners of war,” said Yarmak.
However, the rapper does not sympathize with Vladimir, because, according to him, everyone should be responsible for their actions: “His fate is not particularly interesting to me, because he himself is responsible for his steps , for his actions, which he signed. A contract while drunk does not remove responsibility. He walked towards us with a machine gun. So I have no special mercy for their actions , therefore everyone who comes to our land must be destroyed,” the military concluded.
It was previously reported that Alexander Yarmak (YARMAK) criticized the mobilization methods due to TCC raids on public events.
