Halessia, founder of ROCKER Perucas, talks about the art of lace and its connection with fashion and transforming iconic looks in the drag scene
Known for her work with laces and strong presence in the drag scene, Halessia has also been gaining ground in the fashion world.
In an exclusive interview, the artist shared her journey when founding the ROCKER Perucas store, specializing in lace, and revealed how the creation of wigs connects with her visual identity and style.
I’ve always loved long, platinum hair. When entering the world of lace, I realized that it was difficult to find professionals who could achieve the desired effect. So I decided to learn how to make my own laces. My singer and influencer friends soon became interested, and that’s how ROCKER Perucas was born.”, he says Halessia
And he adds that he believes that hair completely changes the impact of a look.
Creation of laces
Commenting on the creation process, Halessia highlighted the similarity between lace production and haute couture:
Laces are almost like haute couture hair. Each strand is implanted individually, with attention to detail and finishing, essential for a perfect result.”
About drag and fashion art, Halessia celebrated the freedom of creation that both offer. “The term ‘drag’ allows us to explore iconic and exaggerated looks without limitations. After all, it is art,” he concluded, revealing the essence of his artistic expression.
