The incident occurred around 9:40 pm, when the ship was 27 kilometers off the coast of Nassau. A US Coast Guard spokesperson confirmed that the vessel had left the port of Miami the day before, October 21. The exact circumstances of the crash have not yet been disclosed.

Search teams from the Bahamas Defense Force are working in conjunction with the US Coast Guard, using helicopters and aircraft in the rescue operation. Despite efforts, the woman remains missing.
Royal Caribbean, the ship’s operator, said a search and rescue operation was immediately launched and that the company is collaborating with local authorities.
Furthermore, the company highlighted that it is offering support to the passenger’s family during this difficult time, asking for respect for the family’s privacy and refraining from providing further details about the case.
