The controversial Hollywood producer is being treated for acute leukemia in prison, where he is serving a sentence for sex crimes.
Harvey Weinstein, a famous Hollywood producer, is battling bone marrow cancer. The Guardian reported this.
Weinstein has been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and is being treated in a New York prison, where he is serving a 23-year sentence for sex crimes.
The 72-year-old man accused of more than 80 women had emergency heart surgery last month and is in stable condition after the operation.
The producer’s treatment is currently taking place against the backdrop of new allegations of violence made against him in the past month. In the past, a New York appeals court overturned an earlier conviction because of unreliable testimony. Weinstein continues to say that all of the relationships in question were consensual.
It was previously reported that Salma Hayek spoke in an interview with The Guardian about the bullying of producer Harvey Weinstein during the filming of the movie Frida.
