The designer stands out by bringing a vibrant party to the catwalks with the LGBTQIA+ community; discover fashion that transforms and celebrates diversity!
The Isaac Silva brand closed the Saturday night of São Paulo Fashion Week with a vibrant party, presenting its new collection entitled “Celebration”.
After expanding her presence to the United States, where she paraded at the Brazilian consulate, the designer Isa Silvaa trans woman, black and from the Northeast, stands out as a political figure in the fashion scene.
“I am one of the few, if not the only trans woman showing at fashion week, and I want that to change,” she declared in a text about the collection.
The slogan “Believe in your Axé”, which became a popular mantra, was rescued and printed on a fluid shirt dress, which was presented alongside crochet and long voluminous knitwear sets.
The shirts were designed in wide, asymmetrical shapes, while utilitarian jumpsuits and jumpsuits were presented with striking front pockets.
Isa transformed the Pavilion of Brazilian Cultures into a true ballroom, with the presence of models, personalities and artists from the LGBTQIAP+ community.
One of the most iconic drag queens in Brazil, Marcia Panterasurprised the audience by performing covered in Ribbons from Senhor do Bonfim, performing a performance full of acrobatics and her famous “hair shake”, even throwing her own wig towards the guests.
In the “Celebration” collection, the designer begins preparations for her brand’s tenth anniversary, which will be celebrated in April next year. The collection brings the best of its DNA: fluid crochet dresses, denim sets with jackets adorned with stones and t-shirts and loose dresses with asymmetrical hems. The predominant colors included white, gold and the classic “basic black”.
The presentation was a celebration worthy of the importance that Isa Silva brings to the Brazilian fashion industry, marking the beginning of a party that promises to continue.
