The wife of the President of Ukraine spoke about the evacuation of orphans of Kamensky specialized orphanage.
Ukraine’s first lady Elena Zelenskaya showed the world the orphans of our country who had to flee the war. He posted a corresponding post on Instagram.
“Some of these children were left immediately after birth. Moreover, they were brought under the hospital door! Some were taken from dysfunctional parents. They were all orphans, if not legally, then in fact. Here is the war, “Zelenskaya wrote.
He also stressed that it is difficult to evacuate even one child, and in this case, the entire orphanage needs to be rescued.
“Perhaps these children do not need their parents, but they have become indifferent to many adults from all over Ukraine and other countries,” the first lady added.
According to him, all 25 students of the Kamensky specialized orphanage arrived in Polish Chelm by evacuation train. From there, they traveled by bus to Switzerland, where they were received by representatives of the Department for the Protection of Children and Youth (DGEJ), along with local social partners led by Philippe Leub, State Councilor of Canton of Vaud, and Sesla Amarel, Councilor of Canton, Unisante and of CHUV Hospital.
So, the children arrived in a safe place.
The wife of the Ukrainian president expressed her gratitude to the caregivers of the children in the orphanage, and expressed hope that in the near future it will be possible to bring other orphans to Switzerland.
“I say again: we will not give up our children in the war,” Zelenskaya stressed.
Let us add that the First Lady reported in the Telegram that 167 children had died at the hands of the Russian occupiers in Ukraine. More than 279 others were injured, more than 440 were injured.
According to him, most of the victims were in the regions of Kiev, Kharkov and Donetsk.
“Unfortunately, these numbers are not final. There will be compensation for all the suffering and death, of course,” wrote the wife of the Ukrainian head of state.
