British singer Liam Payne, a 31-year-old former member of One Direction, died after falling from a third-floor balcony at the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
The Daily Mail published a photo of his hotel room, which showed a broken TV, traces of white powder and burnt foil, indicating the possible presence of drugs.
Before the tragic incident, Payne was acting erratically, breaking his laptop and being aggressive. Hotel workers called the police because of his strange behavior.
After the fall, the doctors who arrived at the scene confirmed the death due to a fracture of the base of the skull. Argentine police also found clonazepam in his room, a drug used to treat epilepsy and panic disorder. The body of the musician was taken to the local morgue.
