Maria Venture24, explained why she decided to straighten her hair again. The content creator, who showed off her natural curls in Instagram stories, was asked about the progress of her transition, which began in 2020.
In addition to the content creator, many people also end up giving up on the hair transition process. It turns out that the process can be quite time-consuming, and requires a lot of patience and persistence. Furthermore, there is social pressure, with many comments that make people give up.
Maria revealed that he withdrew from the process, but highlighted that the decision was not easy. On Instagram she reported everything in her story.
“I gave up. The transition was very important for me in 2020, when I was facing emotional issues and needed to rediscover myself, understand myself and discover who I was and what I liked. Seeing my curls in the mirror reminded me of my Maria Julia, from when I was little. This helped me reconnect with my essence. But, around 2022, it started to take a lot of work to keep my hair curly and, as I was already more emotionally stable, I decided to straighten it again. It was difficult to give up, but that’s what happened,” he said.
Challenging decision
Maria also explained why the decision was so challenging:
“During the transition, I raised the flag of ‘let’s leave our hair natural’. When I realized that I no longer wanted to keep my curls, I was thinking, ‘What now? I spent years fighting for natural hair and now I’m going to straighten it.”
And she concludes: “In the end, I straightened it out. Each phase has a different meaning, and for me, at that time, it made sense to have curly hair, but not anymore. And that’s it, that’s how human beings are.”
