Canadian actor Keanu Reeves debuted as a professional track racing driver in the United States. During the qualifying race in Indianapolis, America, Reeves took 31st place out of 35, reports the AP news agency.
The 60-year-old Hollywood star pulled off the track briefly during the race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, October 5th, but ultimately finished in 25th place.
The second race, in which Reeves will compete, is scheduled for Sunday, October 6th.
The actor has previous racing experience as a former competitor in the Toyota Grand Prix Celebrity Race at Long Beach Speedway. He won the competition in 2009.
Reeves is set to attend the 30th anniversary of Speed with his co-star Sandra Bullock next Tuesday in Los Angeles.
