On September 24, the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgy Tikhy, denied this statement on his Facebook page. He emphasized that the artist does not hold any full-time or freelance position in the diplomatic service system of Ukraine.
“We do not know where the information came from that the singer Alina Grosu” received a diplomatic position in New York considering the resonance caused by this information in the media, we have to officially clarify that Alina Grosu does not hold anything full-time. or freelance positions in the system of diplomatic services of Ukraine for the performance of diplomatic or consular duties,” the message said.
He also added that despite other important work in New York, due to the scale of the spread of misinformation, an official retraction had to be made.
