In an interview for the new Netflix series What’s next? The future with Bill Gates The 38-year-old singer shared how she was considered a man 14 years ago. This happened after in 2010 she faced fans in a provocative image – with short hair and wearing a men’s suit, which gave rise to rumors about her gender.
“When I was in my early 20s, there were rumors that I was a guy that I traveled around the world and to promote my records, and in almost every interview that I participated in, they asked me: “Those are rumors that you are human. What can you say about it?” reminiscence of the performer.
However, the singer noted that these rumors do not affect him. He explains that he simply ignores such questions, not taking criticism seriously.
