Elizabeth will be the country’s first queen when she succeeds her father on the throne.
Princess Elizabeth, the future Queen of Belgium, has been a student at Harvard University, where she will study for a master’s program in public policy.
The Royal Belgian Palace shared footage of his first day at university after his arrival in Massachusetts. In the photo, the 22-year-old heir to the throne is wearing a brown top, Tommy Hilfiger jeans and green sneakers.
“Congratulations, USA! Princess Elizabeth has started her master’s degree in public policy at Harvard University,” the message said.
Harvard has traditionally attracted members of the royal family, notably King Frederick of Denmark and Empress Masako of Japan who studied here.
Elizabeth previously graduated from Oxford and underwent military training, and King Philip announced her admission to Harvard in May of this year.
