On Wednesday, September 11, Hollywood actor Michael Douglas arrived in Kyiv. His son Dylan accompanies him on the trip.
The American actor and producer Michael Douglas, who is known for his support of Ukraine since the beginning of the Russian invasion, arrived in Kyiv. The Department of Tourism and Promotion of the Kyiv City Administration reported this on Facebook.
During the visit, Douglas got to know the capital and its architectural attractions. He visited St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Monastery, St. Michael’s Square and Vladimirskaya Gorka Park, where he admired the views of the Dnieper. The actor also visited St. Andrew’s Church.
“The guest of honor was surprised by the architectural beauty of our beloved city, and was also actively interested in the historical events that took place in Kyiv,” the department added.
Recently, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky also met with historian and writer Timothy Snyder, ambassador of the UNITED24 fundraising platform. During the meeting, Zelensky thanked Snyder for his help in raising funds for the Secure Ground and Secure Skies programs aimed at purchasing drones and systems to counter enemy UAVs.
In response, Snyder spoke about his support for the just struggle of the Ukrainian people. Also during the meeting, he showed the president the first copy of his new book On Freedom, which is based on conversations with Zelensky. The book presentation is scheduled for next week.
It was previously reported that actress Kat Graham, known for her role in the TV series The Vampire Diaries, recently visited Ukrainian children in Budapest.
