HMD Global has released a Nokia feature phone inspired by the film Barbie, more than a year after the film’s premiere.
HMD Global, which owns the rights to the Nokia brand, has released a new feature phone inspired by the movie Barbie.
The gadget was released more than a year late after the premiere of Greta Gerwig’s film, which became the highest-grossing film directed by a female director. The new flip phone has a T9 keyboard with buttons decorated with designs of palm trees, glow-in-the-dark hearts and flamingos. The gadget is designed for calls and SMS, without access to social networks. HMD calls this pink device the perfect tool to take a break from your smartphone.
The design of the phone is emphasized by branded details: the Barbie logo, a bright greeting “Hello, Barbie!” when turned on and a stylish interface. The phone also features a 5-megapixel camera with flash and comes with a beaded strap. Includes Barbie stickers and a pink USB-C charger.
The cost of the device is $129. Sales will begin on October 1, and pre-orders can be placed starting September 23 on HMD’s official website.

It was previously reported that Spaniard Wence Palau Fernandez set a new record by collecting the largest collection of mobile phones, numbering 3,615 unique models.
