The new show is part of a trilogy that expands the universe of “Queen of the Rays”. In addition to the well-known tracks “Meu Mundo Caiu”, “Princesa” and “Como Vês”, the presentation includes the previously unreleased “O Amor (El Amor)”. The production is described by Alice Caymmi as a final reckoning between a woman and the injustices she faces, symbolizing a moment of revolution and resolution.
Directed by Paulo Borges, the show will be presented at Teatro Oficina, in São Paulo, on August 14, 21 and 28, 2024. The place, known as the home of José Celso Martinez Corrêa’s poetry, has great significance for Alice, who describes it as a remarkable influence in her artistic life.
