Moonchild is the creator of her own musical genre, “Future ghetto punk”. She was born in Port Elizabeth into a musical family, with her brother being a hip hop producer, her mother a jazz singer and her cousins kwaito dancers.
With a career that began in 2006, he stood out in the poetry and music scene of Durban before moving to Johannesburg, where he continued his musical career. Today he is reaping the more than deserved rewards, reaching audiences beyond the borders of South Africa: he has already made his mark playing at festivals such as SXSW in Austin, Texas (USA); and Primavera Sound in Barcelona (Spain).
The hottie even made it onto the soundtrack of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Her second studio album, “Phases” is a must-listen. And there’s more: she owns the clothing brand Moonchild Cultwear and a naturist club.
