Universal Pictures has acquired the film rights to Britney Spears’ memoir The Woman in Me. It is reported by different types.
The production company has reportedly won the rights to the Grammy winner’s memoir (which was released in October and has sold more than 2.5 million copies in the US alone) in a highly competitive auction.
In the book, Spears describes with rare honesty and humor her journey from pop superstardom to a highly publicized conservatorship case.
Universal Pictures has yet to announce when filming will begin, who will star, or the biopic’s release date.
