Renan Quinalha offers five online meetings on LGBT+ rights with reading materials and recorded classes
There will be five virtual meetings, and the classes will be recorded and will be available to registrants for 30 days after the end of the course. In addition, participants will have access to a set of PDF texts that serve as a basis for the content. Registrations can be made by clicking here.
Renan Quinalha, 38 years old, is from São Paulo, a writer, lawyer and coordinator of the TransUnifesp Center. He is the author of several works on the subject, including “Against Morality and Good Customs: the dictatorship and repression against the LGBT community” (2021) and “LGBTI+ Movement: a brief history from the 19th century to the present day” (2022), winner of the Citizenship and Diversity Award of the São Paulo LGBT Pride Parade and finalist for the Jabuti Award in 2023.
In June 2024, he launched “LGBTI+ Rights in Brazil: New Directions for Legal Protection”. Quinalha also works as an editor and columnist for the magazine 451 and chairs the LGBTQIA+ Memory and Truth Working Group of the Ministry of Human Rights and Citizenship.
