Andrei Danilko, known for his image of Verka Serduchka, spoke for the first time about criticism of the performance of songs in Russian.
According to him, he does not respond to accusations about the “language of the aggressor” and considers the Russian language a simple means of communication.

At the same time, the showman admitted that he may be wrong and added that it takes time for the gradual transition to the Ukrainian language. He also said that some of Verka Serduchka’s songs could not be translated into Ukrainian because of the loss of meaning.
“I may be wrong in the eyes of others. They say it is a trigger. I understand that these are difficult times, people live very difficult lives. The mind is disturbed, everyone is irritated.
