One of the most combative figures in Ceará, Andréa Rossati (PRD) officially announced her candidacy for city councilor in the capital Fortaleza at a convention over the weekend – a city that has already granted her the title of Citizen. She was previously the LGBT+ coordinator for the city of Fortaleza and wants to fight for the rights of sexual diversity and human rights.
“I want to thank immensely all the people who kindly came to me with their words, hugs and support and encouragement for this new journey,” celebrated the candidate. “And I reaffirm; it is time for us to reach other necessary spaces with our voices!”
Andréa also says that “spaces that urgently need combative voices against all types of prejudice and discrimination. Voices that fight for all the people who are excluded, for our society! Only then will we have the possibility of transforming Politics and fighting for Public Policies that truly transform people’s lives!”
The convention that officially confirmed her as a candidate, held on Saturday, July 27, is just the beginning, says Andréa. “Our convention is just the beginning of a path that we will follow, side by side with the people. With a lot of faith, courage, dedication, and above all, with a lot of truth!”
