Prince Harry said his family does not support his desire to defend his honor and rights, although he believes “it would be great if they did it as a family.”
In December 2023, Prince Harry won a lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN), accusing them of illegally collecting information. The court ordered the company to pay hundreds of thousands of pounds in compensation for the illegal actions of its employees against Prince Harry and the royal family. The Duke of Sussex also suspects that his mother, Princess Diana, may be the first victim of such hacking.
“The tabloids, the tabloids, love to portray him as a persecutor, but he’s not paranoid, he’s absolutely right about what’s actually happening to him,” he said.
Several other claims by Prince Harry against British tabloids are currently pending in court, including proceedings against The Sun’s publisher News Group Newspapers, ANL and the now defunct News of the World for invasion of his privacy and alleged illegal collection of information from the mid-1990s to 2016.
It was previously reported that Kate Middleton and King Charles were bombarded with letters of support after announcing their cancer treatment.
