Boa Vista confirms pro-LGBT+ mayoral candidate

The Psol-Rede federation confirmed, at a convention held last Saturday (20) at Sindsep-RR, the candidacy of dentist Lincoln Freire (Psol), 51, for the City Hall of Boa Vista in the 2024 elections. The ticket will have as candidate for vice-mayor the public manager Yano Rodrigues (Rede), 23. This is the first official ticket for the election in the capital.

The candidates propose a management focused on sustainability, education and health, with a focus on the inclusion of marginalized sectors of society, such as migrants, black people, indigenous people, the poor and the LGBTQIA+ public.

In his speech, Freire highlighted the importance of sustainable development and environmental protection, in addition to emphasizing the need to serve the groups most forgotten by the Public Authorities.

“We need to reach out to those excluded from our society. Today I am very well received by the PSOL, where we have the majority of indigenous candidates, defending the rights of nature, women, the LGBT community, and black men and women. Victory will come together with social movements,” said Freire.

Lincoln Almeida Freire was born in Crateús (CE) on September 22, 1972 and has lived in Roraima for 24 years. Married for 23 years and father of one daughter, he graduated in Dentistry from the State University of Paraíba (UEPB) and has a postgraduate degree in Orthodontics from the Brazilian Dental Association (ABO-RR) and in Social Pastorals from the Catholic University of Pernambuco (Unicap).
