The hacker group NullBulge, which opposes art created by artificial intelligence, says it has obtained 1.1 terabytes of Disney data.
The hacker group NullBulge hacked Disney employees’ personal correspondence on the corporate messenger Slack. The Wall Street Journal reported it.
The stolen data included messages and files dating back to 2019, including information about unreleased projects, code, images, company login credentials and links to internal Disney websites. The hackers also gained access to conversations about software development, attendance data and Parisian income Disneylandinternal documents and assessment of job candidates.
The data was published on July 11 on the BreachForums website, but was later deleted. NullBulge also released details of a Disney employee who they say helped them gain access to company data. Specifically, they published his medical records and the contents of his 1Password password manager.
Whether the hackers actually had help inside remains unconfirmed. They can also use information-stealing malware to compromise an employee’s account.
Disney said it was investigating.
It was previously reported that Disney Studios is working on a sequel to the popular 2006 film The devil wears Prada.
